Back From Spring Break

Well here we are, back to school. I have the Overview of Visual Arts Industries this month, not sure exactly what to expect but I'm excited.

Speaking of excited, I am excited to announce that in the next couple of day we will be moving from blogger over to a Wordpress hosted blog. I love Wordpress and the easy of use. I will make sure to let everyone know as soon as it's launched, and I will start redirecting from this site to the new one.

Anyways just want to leave a quick note letting everyone know whats going on.

Have a great week!

Sit back, relax, and grab the popcorn. This could get a little crazy.

A Little Off Topic (Esio Beverage System Deal!)

Now I realize that this is kind of off topic, but I wanted to share this with you guys because it was an awesome buy and I thought someone out there may be interested. I was able to get an absolutely amazing price on the Esio Beverage System at my local Walmart, and I wanted to share it so everyone else could check and see if they may be able to get a similar deal if they were interested.

Check it out:

One other thing I didn't mention is that the system has a reserve tank of about two gallons so you won't have to fill it all the time. Anyways it looks pretty cool, and I will let everyone know how it works as soon as I have it set up. Check out the official site here.

Please subscribe if you haven't already, and sit back, relax, and grab some popcorn. This could get a little crazy.

Vacation Has Gone To The Zombies

Well, vacation week is just about over. Starting Sunday night it's back to to classes, and I couldn't be more excited. I honestly wasn't sure how I was going to do going back to school, but so far I am loving it. Although I think that may be because I am able to concentrate on my future career through most of my assignments so far.

Been very slow this week, even with my full time work. I have networked some this week, and found a few like-minded people in my area.

I also have been working with Intuit Media Group based out of Fort Lauderdale. John Paul the founder and president of Inuit is also a student at Full Sail Online studying Online Marketing. I love video editing, and to be able to work for a company doing something I love is awesome. It really makes me look forward to the future and get extremely excited. The ultimate goal is to be able to do video/film work full time.

I also have been in contact with a couple of production teams and may have the opportunity to edit for a short film, and possibly even a feature. I was thinking about it the other day, I have always said that I want to be a film director. Which would still be awesome and I would love to do that some day, but I also love editing. A film editor has a huge job, and he gets to be very creative and ultimately helps to make the film look good. I would love to an editor on a large budget feature, that would be amazing. So I think, for now at least, I am going to pursue the editing path. In the feature though I would still love to direct, I just think that it would be easier to get work as an editor and I love editing almost as much as directing.

Well I guess that's all for now. Keep an eye out for more updates and please subscribe and pass it along.

Oh, yes, There is one last thing I wanted to mention. I will be shooting my first larger short film in the near future.

"The Undead" is a zombie short film that we raised money for on Kickstarter last summer/fall. We planned to shoot it during the fall but ran into problems. Now that the snow is melting we should be able to shoot very soon, and I am extremely excited. The promo video above really doesn't have much to do with the actually film, we created it only as a promotional piece. Check out our Kickstarter page at the link below for more information. I think that it is going to turn out pretty awesome, we just have to actually get filming, haha. Jump over and like or fan page on Facebook here. If anyone would like to still be involved with any extra funding them just let me know and we will work out a great reward package. You can see our "Zombie Impaler" prop below.

Pretty Quiet Week

Hey Guys,

Well not much going on here this week. We are on spring break until next week so I don't have any school work to do. I plan on shooting a quick piece near the end of this week into this weekend and uploading it probably on Sunday

I just got my final scores back from the Behavioral Science class, 100%!

Second class in a row with perfect scores.

I can't wait to get started on the next class, Overview of the Visual Arts Industries.

In other news, it seems like this blog idea has sparked some other students interest and they have start blogs as well. I will post the link to a couple below. Also I am working on getting some people together to create a new website that can serve as a hub for all of the students blogs. If a whole bunch og students get involved then we can have a home page that pulls the feed from each students blog and posts it on the front page. It would be a one stop shop for all Full Sail blogs. The hope is to also be able to narrow it down so people can search by degree and read the blogs from students that are in the degree program they are interested in.

Well I guess thats it for now. I'll be sure to update everyone if anything else happens.

Sit back, relax, and pass the popcorn. This could get a little crazy.
